Residents in Huron County should expect a call the week of March 2 as the community's emergency notification system is tested.
The county will be verifying its contact information for 'Huron Ready' from Monday to Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
Residents and businesses will see 'Emergency Call' on their call display and hear a message that states, “This is Huron Ready your Huron County emergency notification system calling with an important message.”
People are asked to follow the prompts to confirm or change their contact information.
Anyone who has not submitted a form to register for the system can call 1-888-524-8394 ext. 3711 or complete the online form.
