London police officers have surrounded a hotel in the city's southend.
About two dozen police vehicles, including the Emergency Response Unit and SWAT, are at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites on Wellington Road.
A witness told CTV News that police with guns drawn were climbing the stairs inside the building.
Police say that there was a report of gunshots heard in the area of Southdale Road and Wellington Road on Saturday afternoon and that is why the large response..
They say that a citizen also contacted them early this morning about another suspicious noise, believed to be gunshots, in the area of Fanshawe Park Rd E and Cedarhollow Blvd.
At this time, police say they do not believe the two are related.
No injuries have been reported and police continue to investigate.
