The Grain Farmers of Ontario (GFO) group is heading back to court over neonicitinoids.

The farm organization is appealing a court decision from Oct. 23rd “dismissing” their request to have new seed treatment regulations stayed.

GFO is appealing that decision to the Ontario Court of Appeal.

The organization, which represents over 28,000 corn, soybean and wheat farmers, believes the province is being too heavy-handed with their new neonicitinoid regulations.

The regulations will drastically reduce the use of seeds treated with chemicals to keep underground bugs at bay.

The seed treatment has been linked to bee deaths but some in the science and beekeeping industry.
