London police say the owner of General Building Products Ltd., also known as GBP Ltd., has been charged with three counts of fraud.

David Sjaarda, 45, of London, is facing three counts of fraud under $5,000 in relation to unfinished renovation projects.

The charges stem from incidents between September 2012 and January 2013 where deposits were given for work to be done, but the projects were never completed.

In one case the job included the replacement of windows, and no one returned after a deposit was taken for the work.

In another case where a kitchen renovation project was requested, workers removed cabinetry but the job was never completed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
