As Ontarians get set to take part in Family Day festivities there will be a few closures across the region.

Here’s what will be closed in London today:

  • City Libraries - Middlesex County Libraries are open
  • Goverment Offices and municipal buildings
  • Banks
  • LCBO and Beer Stores
  • Malls
  • Garbage collections
  • Buses run on Sunday schedule

Some Federal offices and services will still be open today as Family day is a provincial holiday.

As for activities there is no shortage of things to do around the city:

Boler Mountain is open, and that includes tubing which is not usually open on a Monday.

A free Family Day skate is taking place at Kinsman and Stronach Arenas from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Argyle Arena.

At the Children’s Museum family yoga will take place on Monday, as well as “The Amazing Family Race” which will challenge families to work together to navigate their way through the museum.

Storey Book Gardens is open from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. They will be hosting an outdoor campfire and a meet and greet with a dogsled team.
