An elderly woman has died after being hit by a car Friday night.
Police were called to a collision on Wellington Rd. at Chester St. around 6:45 p.m.
The woman was transported to hospital where she later died.
Wellington Rd. was closed to traffic until 11:30 p.m.
The Traffic Management Unit is investigating.
Police say charges are not expected and are calling it an "unfortunate incident".
