The annual Doors Open London and Culture Days take place this Saturday and Sunday.

The event allows free public access to some of the city’s most intriguing places, such as the Secrets of Radar Museum and Hume Cronyn Memorial Observatory, along with participation in cultural celebrations.

The London Arts Council and the London Heritage Council have introduced three new cultural hubs: A Celebration of Arts From Around the World at Western Fair’s Progress Building, a hub at the Normal School and Green and Trails Open London at Westminster Ponds.

Each of these hubs brings together groups at a single site, offering access and activities.

There will be more than 40 participating sites and more than 150 free cultural experiences in London.

“It has been a lot of work, but organizing this many groups and events into a single weekend is going to give our community an amazing opportunity to explore and love London,” says Dhira Ghosh, events coordinator for the London Arts Council and the London Heritage Council.

Doors Open is also held in other Ontario communities.
