Two people have been sent to hospital, one with serious injuries to her face after they were attacked by a dog in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
According to Grey County OPP, a 64-year-old woman was walking towards her vehicle when she was knocked down and attacked by her four-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix.
The woman’s 90-year-old father, who was sitting inside the vehicle at the time, rushed to her aid.
The female suffered serious bites to her arms and face. She was airlifted to a London hospital. The father suffered serious bites to his forearm – he was treated and released from a Markdale, Ont. hospital.
The dog was dispatched by police for public safety.
