London Police have laid charges in the city’s second homicide of the year.

32-year-old Jeremy Reddick of London is charged with one count of second degree murder and one count of aggravated assault. The accused made a court appearance via video earlier this afternoon and has been remanded into custody pending his next appearance. Police say Reddick and the two victims were known to each other.

Police responded to Clarence Street and Dufferin Avenue around 3:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28th, 2016. They found a 21-year-old man on the lawn at the south end of Victoria Park. He had sustained a stab wound and was unresponsive. A second man, aged 32, had also suffered a serious stab wound. He was conscious at the scene. Both men were taken to hospital by ambulance. The 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at hospital. An autopsy began Saturday afternoon and is not expected to be completed until late today or tomorrow. The second victim has since been released from hospital.

A knife was located during a daylight search of the scene. The crime scene has been released, but the incident remains under active investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
