Maureen Cassidy returned to her duties at city hall Monday.
Ward Five Councillor and former Deputy Mayor ended her self-imposed leave.
Cassidy took the leave on June 14 to spend time with her family after revealing she and Mayor Matt Brown had an affair.
“I know that Londoners are eager to see this Council direct its attention to the very important matters facing this city,” said Cassidy in a statement.
“I would also like to thank my constituents and the community at large for their encouragement and support."
She also said to CTV News, "I just want this to go away."
Brown also issued a statement saying, "I am looking forwrad to working with all of my council colleagues, including Councillor Cassidy. We have a great deal of imporant work ahead.
Cassidy sits on the Civic Works Committee which met Monday afternoon.
Following news of the relationship between Brown and Cassidy, Integrity Commissioner Greg Stewart, found that the pair had violated three sections of council's Code of Conduct.
However, Council opted not to impose a 90 suspension from their duties.
Cassidy opted out of her pay while on leave.
