Sarnia police are investigating after cash used to fund youth sports programs was stolen from the field house at Germain Park.

Investigators say someone cut the electrical power to the field house in the east end of the park then forced their way in through a window on the building's west side.

Once inside, police say the suspect(s) removed cash from the concession area that is used to fund sports for kids.

The incident happened sometime between 4:30 p.m. last Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.
