Walking in stilettos is a breeze for many people.

But for others, not so much.

"That was very painful. My toes are hurting right now," exclaims Paul Charbonneau.

Charbonneau, along with other men and women strapped on heels to raise money for the Windsor and Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation at Devonshire Mall Sunday.

"I have a new appreciation when my wife wears her stilettos," laughs Charbonneau.

"We just wanted something bright and bold so we called our shoes spring into action. We just want to do everything we can to fight cancer," says supporter Jessica Ball.

The fundraiser is encouraging the public to purchase a collection of nude photographic art defining the strength and beauty of women with breast cancer.

"This book is titled Art and Survival Beauty Behind the Reality and it's showing the beauty behind all these beautiful women," says supporter Susie White.

Books can be purchased at Guest Services Centre at Devonshire Mall or online at www.artinsurvival.ca
