Bruce Power says it applauds the commitment to clean energy, including nuclear, announced by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, U-S President Barack Obama and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.
The three countries say they'll strive to achieve a goal of 50 per cent clean power generation for North America by 2025.
Those energy sources include nuclear, renewable, and carbon capture and storage technologies, and they'll also look to reduce demand through energy efficiency.
Bruce Power operates eight CAN-DU reactors in Tiverton and is the source of roughly 30 per cent of Ontario's electricity.
