South Bruce OPP say bones found on a property in the Village of Teeswater are 'historical' and no foul play is suspected.

Officers were called to a property in the 1200 block of Bruce County Road 6 in early August for a report that bones had been found.

Following an investigation that included the OPP Forensic Identification Unit and the assistance of a forensic anthropologist, police say the found bones have been determined to be historical in nature.

Foul play is not suspected and officials say this is an isolated event and there is no threat to public safety.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
