A Perth County mother of seven is facing the fight of her life, but she has a global pop star lending support.

Two and a half years ago Jeanne Bryans had a hysterectomy that was supposed to rid her body of Stage 4 uterine cancer.

“They thought it was contained, but it spread to my abdomen.  I still have it. The chemo keeps it down. This last check my cancer counts are still going up," she says.

After losing their father at a young age, Bryans’ seven children have decided they are going to try everything possible to save their mom, including treatments in the United States.

"We've been looking into the States for alternative treatments. Something that isn't as hard on the body to fight it. That's where we're at right now," says daughter Diana Bryans.

U.S. cancer treatment isn't free, which is why her family has organized a fundraising concert and auction for Saturday in Stratford.

Some family contacts led them to Bieber, a Stratford native, and his father, who've donated some Bieber-signed memorabilia for the auction.

“I hope he comes Saturday night to show up. That's my dream at least.  Wouldn't that be something?  But we have some items he signed, so that was really nice of him and other signed items as well," Jeanne Bryans says.

Her daughter says it was difficult to get everything. “But where there's a will, there's a way. And we're so thankful he chose to give some items."

The concert has more of an operatic theme, with acclaimed baritone James Westman headlining. Diana, a classically trained singer, will also grace the stage at her mother's fundraiser.

“I encourage all women, as a nurse, and someone who just went through cancer, to get their pap test,” Jeanne Bryans says

Saturday's concert is at Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford.
