There's a new 'spin' on fitness in London - and it quite literally takes cycling into the living room.

When it comes to spinning, some believe there's no place like home, and for Pulse Spin Studio that means a house in Wortley Village.

Owner Shayne Hodgson is the leader of the pack - of indoor cyclists.

An accomplished triathlete, he opened the studio with the idea that people wanted something different.

"I really want everyone to come. I don't want one type of person to be here because you feed off everybody and everybody improves because of the other person's a little better, someone's a little stronger, everybody's got their strength."

And while yoga and personal training have found homes in homes, it's something fairly new for spinning.

"We wanted people to come here to feel like they're at home and that's why it's in our home. We also wanted people to come in and have these classes and just enjoy them."

Spinning has been around since 1993, and while other fitness trends have come and gone, spinning has endured because it's a good workout and it's fun.

Student Peggy says "Most of us are not going to get up in the morning at 6:30 and do something on our own. We're more likely to go when there's a group. That's what I like the most is the group atmosphere."

Classes run about an hour in length.
