Closures continue for yet another day on Friday in midwestern Ontario as poor visibility has forced OPP to close several roads.

As of Friday evening Grey County closures include:

  • Grey Rd. 7 from Kimberley to Meaford
  • Grey Rd. 124 from Grey Rd. 4 (Singhampton) south to Shelburne in Dufferin County
  • Grey Road 119 from Swiss Meadows to Grey Road 2

For the full list of road closures in the county please visit the Grey County Road Conditions website.

Grey County OPP say between Tuesday and Friday they responded to 52 vehicle collisions and six reports of abandoned vehicles. Fortunately most collisions did not involve injuries and those that did were minor.

Six people were also charged with driving on a closed road, which could net them a $110 fine and three demerit points.

All roads in Bruce County have reopened, but for updates on what is open and what is closed as conditions change please visit the Bruce County Road Conditions website.

Meanwhile northwest of London, OPP are also reporting numerous collisions Thursday and Friday, especially along Highway 402 as weather conditions change rapidly.

Lambton County OPP say they responded to nine collisions on Thursday, including rollovers, but no major injuries were reported.

In Middlesex, OPP say there were over 20 incidents of crashes and cars in the ditch on Friday morning.

Police are asking motorists to slow down for their own safety and that of other drivers and emergency responders.
