Municipal budgets across our region are feeling the brunt of old man winter and Woodstock is no exception.

City engineering staff say they're going to need more tax-payers' money to keep roads cleared and to keep equipment intact.

It's been several days since the last snowfall, but heavy equipment is still at it, as the works department goes up against the snowiest winter in decades.

City staff is calling for a permanent increase of $125,000 to the city's $650,000 dollar annual snow removal budget.

Woodstock council will consider the increase to the snow removal budget later this week.
